# Manage, export, or delete your data

> Review Miyo data controls before disconnecting institutions, exporting your information, or permanently deleting your Miyo account.

Different controls have different effects. Choose the narrowest action that matches what you want to change.

## Export transactions

Open **Transactions** and select **Export CSV** to download transactions you own. Store the export securely because it can contain sensitive descriptions, amounts, dates, categories, and notes.

## Disconnect a bank

Use **Settings → Linked accounts → Disconnect institution** to revoke the live Plaid connection and stop future refreshes. Previously imported records can remain until you remove the local data or complete account deletion.

## Delete your Miyo account

    Download your transaction export and note any planning information you need to retain outside Miyo.

  <Step title="Review household impact">
    If you own a household, review the remaining member and shared information before continuing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the deletion dialog">
    Open **Settings → Security**, select **Delete Miyo account**, and read every consequence.

  <Step title="Type DELETE">
    Enter `DELETE` exactly, then select **Delete account**.
  </Step>

Deleting immediately deactivates the account, revokes sessions, disables app access, and removes live connected-account access. Miyo can retain limited records when required for audit, security, legal, tax, backup, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.

  Account deletion cannot be undone from the app. Contact [privacy@joinmiyo.com](mailto:privacy@joinmiyo.com) before deleting if you need a data-access, correction, export, or specific deletion request.
