# Change household account visibility

> Set each Miyo account to Private, Shared, or Hidden, preview what your household partner can see, and review visibility changes before sharing.

Miyo applies household visibility per account. Open **Privacy Center** to review every account before relying on a shared dashboard or report.

## Choose a visibility state

| State | You can see it | Your partner can see it | Included in your dashboard and reports |
| ----------- | -------------------------- | -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Private** | Yes                        | No                                     | Yes                                    |
| **Shared** | Yes | Yes, including shared account activity | Yes |
| **Hidden** | No in normal finance views | No | No |

<Warning>
  **Hidden** is broader than **Private**. Hidden accounts are excluded from your own normal dashboard totals and reports as well as household views.

## Goals and debt use separate sharing rules

* A personal savings goal stays yours.
* **Share with Partner** lets a partner see a goal's progress.
* A joint goal lets both partners contribute.
* Shared debt can reveal payment timing for coordination while keeping APR and payoff strategy private.

<Note>
  Account visibility controls do not change ownership at the financial institution and do not grant transaction or money-movement authority.
