Accounts give Miyo the balances and transaction history used throughout your dashboard, spending views, and plan. You can connect an institution or maintain an account manually.
Connect an institution
Add an account manually
- Open Accounts.
- Select the option to connect an institution.
- Continue through the secure connection flow and choose the accounts you want to add.
- Return to Miyo and allow the first sync to finish.
Miyo uses Plaid where bank connection is enabled. You enter institution credentials in the provider’s connection flow, not directly into Miyo.
- Open Accounts and select Add account.
- Choose an account type.
- Enter a name, current balance, and any optional details you want to track.
- Save the account, then add or import its transactions.
Supported account details
Depending on the account type, Miyo can track balances, credit limits, APR, institution details, notes, and account status. Connected and manual accounts can appear together.
Edit or archive an account
Open an account to review its details, then select the edit action. Miyo archives accounts instead of permanently erasing their history from ordinary account management flows.
Disconnecting a linked institution stops future refreshes. Previously imported records may remain until you delete them or request account deletion.
Household visibility
If you use Miyo with a household, adding an account and sharing it are separate decisions. Open Privacy to choose whether the account is shared, private, or hidden.
