Account visibility controls whether an account and its activity participate in household views. Review it whenever you add an account or change household membership.

Shared

Household members can see the account and its activity in shared experiences.

Private

Only you can see the account in your personal views.

Hidden

The account is excluded from dashboard totals, reports, and household views.

Shared does not mean joint ownership

Sharing an account in Miyo changes visibility inside the product. It does not change legal ownership, bank permissions, beneficiaries, or the institution’s records.

Check before you share

1

Open Privacy

Review the current visibility label beside each account.
2

Choose intentionally

Consider the account balance, transaction history, and how its inclusion changes household totals.
3

Preview the other view

Use the partner-view preview to confirm what another member will see.
4

Review the audit log

The Privacy Center records visibility changes so you can understand when a setting changed.
In solo mode, there is no other household member to share with. Your accounts remain visible only to you until you create or join a household and choose otherwise.
